A career opportunity has opened at Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) for a detail-oriented and service-driven individual to support the registration and compliance function. This role is ideal for a candidate who is organised, comfortable working with data, and capable of engaging professionally with stakeholders while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FIC Act).
The purpose of this role is to capture, process, monitor, and maintain institution and user registrations in accordance with the FIC Act, as amended, under guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that registration information is accurate, complete, and compliant with legislative and internal standards. This position requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and administrative discipline.
The minimum educational requirement for this role is Matric/Grade 12. Applicants must have at least one year of data capturing experience, as well as one year of call centre or telephonic query handling experience. Exposure to a compliance-related function will be advantageous. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate intermediate computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
In this role, you will capture registration data and perform data cleansing activities to maintain database accuracy. You will assist in monitoring stakeholder registration information and handle formal correspondence related to compliance matters. Engaging with external stakeholders via telephone and email will form a significant part of your responsibilities, ensuring that institutions meet their obligations under the FIC Act. You will exchange information, provide solutions, and resolve registration and reporting queries in a professional and efficient manner.
Additional responsibilities include filing registration documents in line with FIC and divisional records management standards, authenticating and validating migrated and newly updated registration details, and supporting the registration database to ensure information is properly delegated according to institutional structures. You will also administer the compliance query process in line with set procedures and provide call centre support when required, in accordance with the Compliance Contact Centre manual and standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to manage confidential information responsibly, and the capacity to work methodically within established procedures. Strong organisational skills, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work under pressure will contribute to success in this role.
