Premier in Gauteng is looking for a Promix General Worker.

Applicants must have a Matric (Grade 12) certificate. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in the milling industry and 6 months to 1 year of experience working as a stacker or in a similar production environment. The role requires individuals who are physically fit, able to lift heavy loads of up to 25kg, and capable of standing for long hours. Good communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and strong concentration levels are essential. Applicants must also be able to work independently when required while maintaining accountability and high performance standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operations within the Promix department by ensuring that all activities are carried out according to safety standards and operational requirements. This role is hands-on and requires active participation in production processes, including working with machinery, handling finished products, and maintaining quality standards throughout the workflow.

One of the key responsibilities includes manually removing materials and finished products from machines and equipment. The employee will be required to stack and palletize finished cases correctly, ensuring that products are placed securely and neatly on pallets for storage or distribution. Producing quality stacked products is important to maintain efficiency and prevent damage during handling and transportation.

Quality control is an essential part of the role. The candidate will inspect materials and products for defects and ensure that all items meet the required standards before being processed further. This includes checking seals, monitoring product quality, and ensuring that all finished goods are correctly labelled with the appropriate manufacturing date codes.

The role also involves completing documentation such as finished goods tickets accurately and neatly. Attention to detail is important to ensure that all required information is recorded correctly and that production records remain accurate and reliable.

In addition, the employee will assist with general physical labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials. Supporting maintenance teams with basic troubleshooting when required is also part of the job, helping to ensure that production processes continue smoothly with minimal downtime.

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment is a priority in this role. The candidate will be expected to follow all safety procedures, perform sanitation duties, and ensure that the work area remains organized at all times. This contributes to both product quality and workplace safety.

The ideal candidate should be a strong team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues and remain focused during long working hours. The ability to stay alert, maintain concentration, and consistently deliver quality work will ensure success in this physically demanding but rewarding production role.
