The company is currently seeking a motivated and capable individual to lead a store team in achieving key business KPIs, including driving sales growth, controlling costs, minimising risks and stock loss, and ensuring efficient administration.
The purpose of this position is to lead and inspire a team to meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining exceptional store standards. The successful candidate will focus on increasing sales by prioritising customer service excellence, maintaining the store image, managing stock effectively, and ensuring that promotional activities are implemented accurately and on time. A key responsibility includes minimising stock loss by fostering a strong store culture built on accountability and adherence to security measures, stock handling, and cash handling procedures. The role also requires managing operational costs in line with the company’s low-cost culture by identifying and driving efficiencies throughout the store. Ensuring that all administrative duties are completed according to company guidelines is essential for maintaining compliance and operational accuracy. Leadership forms a central part of the role, with responsibility for training, coaching, and managing the performance of a dynamic team of employees, referred to as Dynamos. Maintaining health, safety, and housekeeping standards is also critical to ensuring a safe and appealing shopping environment.
To qualify for this position, applicants must have Grade 12 as a minimum requirement and be proficient in English. Relevant tertiary education, such as a degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field, will be advantageous. Ideally, candidates should have one to two years of experience in a retail environment within a leadership role. Computer literacy is required, and proficiency in Microsoft applications and/or Google GSuite will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a genuine passion for retail and delivering a world-class customer experience. Integrity, accountability, and a willingness to go the extra mile are essential attributes. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required to motivate and guide the team effectively. The ability to plan, organise, lead, and control store operations demonstrates strong managerial capability. Candidates must also be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment and be willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
