The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the school campus. Duties include vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping various floor surfaces, as well as cleaning classrooms, offices, hallways, and other facilities. The role also involves dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture to ensure a consistently clean and safe environment.
Additional responsibilities include scrubbing and sanitising toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures, emptying trash bins, and washing and cleaning windows. The School Cleaner must liaise with the line manager regarding stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment, report any breakages that occur during cleaning, and inform management of any repairs that need attention.
The role may also require providing general support during school functions and events and following the Holiday Cleaning Duty List during school breaks. The successful candidate must understand and contribute to the ethos and values of the school while maintaining a professional and positive workplace environment at all times.
