Applicants must have completed a B-Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, or Labour Relations. Strong academic performance is required. Full proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is essential. Exposure to Scubed, Sage, or Neptune systems, own reliable transport, honours qualification, leadership roles on campus, and strong academic results will be advantageous.
This fixed-term contract role provides full exposure to HR operations with a strong focus on payroll input, HR administration, and overall HR support. The successful candidate will learn and assist across key HR functions, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Learning and Development.
Responsibilities include capturing and validating monthly payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, employment changes, overtime, and leave records. The role also involves printing and distributing payslips for wages employees and liaising with the HR Specialist or HR Administrator where necessary. Maintaining accurate and POPIA-compliant employee records and HRIS data is essential.
The HR Graduate will support recruitment processes by assisting with job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. Additional duties include coordinating onboarding, inductions, and exit processes, assisting with employee relations administration such as preparing minutes and documentation, compiling HR reports, and supporting audits and compliance requirements.
The role also includes Learning and Development administration, coordinating training sessions, and assisting with company events and employee engagement initiatives. Candidates must be detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a professional HR environment.
