A rewarding opportunity has become available at AFGRI for an organised and detail-driven individual to assist with workshop administration and communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured administrative work within a technical workshop environment and is eager to contribute to smooth operational processes in the agricultural services sector.

The successful candidate will support daily workshop administrative functions, ensuring that all documentation and communication are handled efficiently and accurately. Key responsibilities include creating job cards, generating pro-forma invoices linked to job cards, and placing orders with external vendors as required. You will also be responsible for processing daily bank deposits and ensuring that the risk file (GMR) is up to date with all required forms properly completed and signed. An important part of the role involves building and maintaining sound relationships with both internal and external clients, as well as responding promptly to queries and resolving concerns professionally.

The minimum requirement for this position is Grade 12. Applicants must have at least six months of relevant work experience in a similar administrative or workshop-related role. This foundational experience will assist in understanding workshop processes, documentation, and client interaction.

In this role, you will need basic knowledge of workshop administration procedures and a clear understanding of parts and maintenance items typically ordered in a workshop setting. Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, is essential for managing job cards, invoices, and communication effectively. Your ability to maintain accurate records and ensure documentation compliance will directly support operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when managing financial documents and risk files. Effective stress management is important, as workshop environments can be fast-paced and deadline-driven. Good interpersonal skills are required to maintain professional communication with technicians, suppliers, and clients. You must be disciplined, cooperative, and result-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is mandatory to ensure effective communication across stakeholders.
