Adidas is looking for a Retail Store Assistant. Applicants must have a Matric certificate and 0–1 year of retail experience. Previous fashion retail experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
The successful candidate will assist management with daily store operations while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining all store policies and procedures. Responsibilities include processing sales transactions (cash, credit, and other payment methods), assisting with product ticketing and checking incoming stock against paperwork, and supporting product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor.
You will help implement merchandise displays as guided by store management, maintain housekeeping standards, safeguard company assets, and support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity in line with security procedures. Participation in in-store and digital training is required to maintain product knowledge and role best practices. Familiarity with store performance tools such as Power BI will support understanding of best sellers and product performance.
The role requires strong customer engagement, including greeting customers, assisting them in finding suitable products, and applying effective selling techniques such as add-on sales and explaining technical product features. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment and be flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Candidates should demonstrate a passion for retail and customer service, clear communication skills, initiative, adaptability, teamwork, enthusiasm, and confidence in styling customers.
