VKB Group is seeking a General Worker to support daily operational activities. The purpose of this position is to perform general tasks that require only a brief induction, contributing to the smooth functioning of operations. The role is hands-on and suited to individuals who are physically capable and willing to perform manual labour in a fast-paced agricultural or retail environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining general tidiness across the premises. This includes performing cleaning duties to ensure that workspaces remain safe, organised, and compliant with company standards. General housekeeping of the premises is essential to promote efficiency and maintain a professional environment for customers and staff. The role also involves assisting customers and suppliers with loading and offloading stock in accordance with company policies and procedures. Supporting stock control processes and providing customer service where required form part of daily responsibilities. In addition, the incumbent may be assigned ad hoc duties from time to time to support operational needs.
The qualification requirements for this position include Grade 12 or NQF Level 4. Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding manual labour and demonstrate a willingness to contribute positively to the function of the job. The ideal candidate should show a strong service orientation, ensuring that customers and suppliers receive efficient and courteous assistance. Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail are important to maintain stock control and uphold housekeeping standards.
