In addition, you will assist in clearing and disposing of grass, sludge, reedbeds, and other waste materials, as well as safeguarding plant assets at Public Works sites.

To qualify for this general worker position, applicants should have Grade 12 or Matric and preferably relevant training. At least six months of experience as a general worker, ideally within water facilities or a similar environment, will be advantageous. A valid, unendorsed Code B driver’s license is required, as the role may involve rotation or travel to different sites based on operational demands. Candidates must be willing to work shifts, standby duties, weekends, and public holidays when necessary. Physical fitness is essential due to the manual nature of the work.
