Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 30. A Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Science passed at above 50% is mandatory. Candidates must hold an N2 Certificate from a TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) or Further Education and Training (FET) College. A valid driver’s licence is essential. Experience working in a vehicle maintenance environment will be an added advantage but is not compulsory. Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to learn and commit to completing both theoretical and practical components of the course within the specified duration.
The purpose of this programme is to develop and train learners to ensure the availability of qualified and skilled workers in line with industry requirements and business pipeline development. The successful candidates will receive structured workplace training and mentorship aimed at building technical competence and preparing them for artisan qualification.
Key responsibilities include assisting Artisans with repairs and services on vehicles and equipment. Learners will support workshop activities and may assist with breakdowns in the field when required. This role provides practical exposure in a technical environment and requires strict adherence to operational and safety standards.
Learners will be expected to contribute to the successful implementation of a strong safety culture within the workshop and on-site environments. Compliance with company procedures and safety regulations is critical at all times. Candidates must also carry out any reasonable instructions from supervision to support operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate must be disciplined, safety-conscious, and motivated to grow within a technical trade environment while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
