Applicants must have completed N1 and above with the required subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, and Diesel Trade Theory. Candidates must be computer literate and demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written. Strong interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. Applicants must also be fluent in English and demonstrate proven intercultural competencies.

This position is suited to individuals who are eager to grow within the diesel trade and are committed to completing the required academic and practical components of the apprenticeship. The successful candidate will work as an understudy under the supervision of a qualified Diesel Mechanic, gaining hands-on experience in servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.

Key responsibilities include carrying out services and repairs efficiently under supervision, assisting qualified Diesel Mechanics when required, and utilising every opportunity to increase knowledge in the chosen trade. The apprentice will be expected to attend technical college courses and other required training sessions, ensuring satisfactory completion of examinations and course tests.

Maintaining workshop quality, safety, and security procedures at all times is a critical requirement of the role. The apprentice must adhere strictly to company standards and ensure that all tasks are performed in line with safety regulations and operational guidelines.
