The successful candidate will be accountable for the operation and maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure safe and timely deliveries. Responsibilities include ensuring that all deliveries, logistics processes, and related administrative tasks are executed professionally and efficiently. The incumbent must perform daily vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and report any mechanical concerns before commencing trips. Assisting with stock counts and ensuring that all stock transported on the vehicle is properly secured, maintained, and managed are essential aspects of the role. The driver will assist with the loading and offloading of stock while adhering to safety procedures. Accurate completion of the vehicle logbook on a daily basis is mandatory, and any delays, incidents, or irregularities must be reported promptly to the line manager.

The qualification requirements for this position include a Grade 12 certificate. Candidates must have at least one year of heavy vehicle driving experience. Experience within an agricultural environment will be advantageous, as it supports familiarity with farming operations and products. Applicants must possess a valid Code 10 (C1) Driver’s Licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Technical competencies required include knowledge of the operating environment, GPS and map-reading skills, basic knowledge of farming activities and products, and good verbal and written communication skills.
