Packing yard stock items in an organised and systematic manner is required to maintain accessibility and proper stock rotation. The Yard Assistant will also be responsible for the cleaning and safekeeping of company vehicles, ensuring they remain in good working condition and presentable at all times. Completing wash bay activities forms part of the daily operational duties. The position further requires providing assistance to both customers and suppliers within the yard area, contributing to a smooth flow of goods and services. Delivering excellent customer service and upholding and promoting the company’s values and culture are fundamental aspects of the role.

The qualification requirements for this position include a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Candidates must possess sound product knowledge, particularly within the building materials and hardware environment, to effectively assist customers and ensure accurate order fulfilment. A practical understanding of yard operations and safety standards will be advantageous.
